The objective of the School of Forestry and Natural Environment at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is to provide high quality university education and conduct basic and applied research on the Forest Science topics. The study programs, both at undergraduate and postgraduate level, aspire to assist the students acquire the necessary knowledge background and skills to analyze and provide solutions to complex applied problems related to the protection and management of the forest ecosystems and the natural environment. The School of Forestry and Natural Environment has been contributing to the development of Hellenic Forestry for the last 104 years by providing well-trained scientific personnel, conducting research, and offering consultant services with the aim to ensure the protection, rationalize the utilization and promote the challenging, but rewarding, multiple use of the Greek forests.
