Vice Foreign Minister Deng Li Holds Collective Meeting with CEEC Diplomatic Envoys to China
On November 22, 2021, Vice Foreign Minister and Secretary General of the Secretariat for Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Deng Li held a collective meeting with diplomatic envoys and representatives to China from 14 countries including Albania, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Greece, Latvia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Poland, Hungary and Romania.
Deng Li introduced the achievements of China-CEEC cooperation, especially the progress in implementing the outcomes of the 2021 China-CEEC Summit in Beijing. Deng Li pointed out that since the inception of the Cooperation between China and CEEC nine years ago, the two sides have focused on practical cooperation. Our institutional building has been improved and our cooperation in economy, trade, culture and other fields has yielded fruitful results, bringing tangible benefits to the people of China and CEEC. Against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic, the two sides should make good use of the China-CEEC cooperation platform, focus on major projects and key areas, expand the scale of economic and trade investment, and deepen practical cooperation.
The CEEC diplomatic envoys to China extended warm congratulations on the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and China’s achievement of its first centenary goal. The diplomatic envoys appreciate the fruitful results of China-CEEC cooperation and believe that China-CEEC cooperation is an important part of and useful complement to China-EU relations. All sides exchanged views on how to jointly promote cooperation between China and CEEC to achieve more pragmatic results and make new contributions to the development of China-CEEC relations and China-EU relations.
